I know everyone is thinking and saying the same thing “Where has the last year gone?” and “How is it nearly Christmas?”. The first year of CT19 has uncovered every emotion thinkable. I have felt excited, scared, confused, nervous, exhilarated, and thankful. Trying to get a business off the ground during a global pandemic is not something I ever thought would happen, but it has given us invaluable experience that we would not have gained otherwise.
For me, the best thing about CT19 is the industry we work in. Whether I am speaking to candidates about their current companies or looking into clients and what they are doing, there is never a time when I am not amazed by the developing technology and medicines.
Prior to starting CT19, my recruitment experience wasn’t sector focussed so I would work on roles with a variety of different companies and would cover all commercial roles from HR & Operations to Sales & Finance. Being part of the process in helping someone to secure a new career opportunity has always been a great feeling, but now placing someone in a company that is making positive contributions to society is truly special.
Every job I have had in my life has taught me something new, I have learnt an abundance of skills and will forever be grateful for each opportunity. My first role in Childcare, before working as a Sales Administrator, all the way to recruitment and eventually establishing my own business. I have learnt more than I could have imagined in just year one at CT19, I can’t wait to continue the journey to see where it takes us.
