CT19 are working with an early stage chemistry start-up in central Paris that have developed a ground-breaking process to valorise waste textiles into raw materials, creating circularity in the textile industry, reducing carbon footprint and making net zero an achievable reality.
   
Key responsibilities

• Set-up large scale reactions for the production of monomers and polymers
• Operate and maintain reactors (up to 100 L reactors).
• Perform separation and purification of organic chemicals at small & large scale
• Optimization of conditions and troubleshooting on the preparation of large scale reaction.
• Screening of conditions, experimental design, optimization and scale-up
• Develop & Perform chemical analysis on the recycled monomers and polymers, assessment of the purity
• Characterization of polymers properties

  
What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in chemistry with a strong technical background in organic chemistry.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and adapt to new challenges.
• Demonstrated autonomy and initiative in projects, with a track record of delivering results in a dynamic environment.
• Experience within industry or working on industrial projects in academia of at least 5 years.
