(Senior) Computational Biologist
Location: Paris
Reports In To: Lead Computational Biologist. Also working collaboratively with all the teams responsible for cell culture, wet lab experimentation and data management.
Salary: Flexible (DOE)
  
Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the computational biologists, cell biologists and our medical experts to drive data enables drug development.
  • Build multi-modal analysis pipelines integrating patient and PDO-derived omics and wetlab data.
  • Develop methods for biomarker identification and target discovery.
  • Collaborate with our scientists on our internal R&D programs.
  • Communicate on our research via academic and industry conferences and publications.

Need-to-Haves

  • PhD and/or extensive experience in computational biology, computational genomics, machine learning or any other related field
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in leading AI driven research projects
  • A solid track record of achievements in the field, including (but not limited to) publications, conference presentations, contributions to open source libraries etc.
  • Deep experience of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical underpinnings, and the ability to translate this into clinical or biological implications for our lab-based team
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Exposure to cloud environments
  • Exceptional collaboration an communication skills
  • Proficiency in English

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in working with the modern code development toolbox (bonus points if you have DevOps experience)
  • Familiarity with a variety of omics techniques, including NGS, cell-based assays, functional genomics, single-cell techniques etc.
  • Experience with engineering change control processes and/or software version control (Git, VSS, etc.)
  • Prior experience in the context of therapeutic or diagnostic development programmes
  • Passion for the intersection of data, biology, and the clinic.
