So, here we are, 8 ½ months into my journey with CT19 and what a whirlwind it has been. I have had the pleasure of dealing with quite literally, hundreds of jobs for a huge variety of Life Science companies, as well as developing long-lasting relationships with colleagues, applicants, and clients.
Diversity in the Role:
One thing that I have consistently appreciated is that I have had the flexibility to develop my knowledge base in an extremely wide range of sectors by speaking to incredible candidates.
- Wet-lab Scientists
- Engineers
- Dry-lab Scientists
- Supply Chain & Procurement
- Account Managers
- Medical Writers
- Consultants
- Project Managers
- Analysts
- Finance & Operations
- Internal Recruitment
- C-Level Executives
These are just some of the types of candidates I am speaking to on a weekly basis, and I cannot explain the gratitude I get from learning more about projects you have been working on, plans you have for the future and being able to match you with companies that are developing ground-breaking technology for healthcare.
No matter how removed people think recruiters can be from processes, I thrive from the thought of knowing I have helped someone secure their dream job at a company, who for example, is looking to cure Parkinson’s Disease, and that person could be instrumental in bringing that product to the market.
Company Growth:
Over the last few months, I have been able to see the company grow! This has been exciting for me as I am no longer the newbie.
I have welcomed new colleagues from a range of different backgrounds, as an example, Josh Yates who joined in March recently graduated with a Biochemistry degree from UCL. This has been a brilliant opportunity for me to soak up all the knowledge I possibly can and ask a million questions. In turn, it has given me an opportunity to support other team members and provide leadership which is a skill I haven’t been able to use for a while.
There has been such an enveloping buzz in the office, and I am proud to be part of a business from such an early stage, so that I can see how we have developed and grown as a team.
All in all, I am still really excited to be on this journey with CT19 and feel a sense of pride in the job that I am doing – Here is to the next 8 ½ months!
