Want to be part of a Medical Device start-up team transforming the cost & availability of medical imaging devices? We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our client at an exciting time, as they release new products to market. Driving eQMS set-up & management, handling audits & quality reporting & understanding the landscape of a biotech start-up. The company mission is to produce next generation portable 3D low-dose X-Ray machines.
 
Role: Quality Manager
Location: West Oxford
Salary: DOE / Competitive + benefits
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Establishing & maintaining the company’s quality procedures, standards & specifications. Ensuring satisfaction of Company standards in collaboration with the Q&R Director. E.g., ISO 13485:2016 & any other ISO or quality-related regulations targeted by the company
  • Facilitating & leading change management initiatives & monitoring their implementation
  • Setting quality standards across the company & ensuring compliance within the company
  • Working with the Q&R Director to ensure that processes meet international standards
  • Working closely with all employees to ensure there is a focus on continuous improvement & maintaining a strong quality culture throughout the company
  • Setting up & maintaining best practice controls & documentation procedures to ensure compliance with international & national standards
  • Helping to develop & improve the processes by which the company complies with regulatory requirements
  • Handling customer complaints, investigations & provide reports & recommendations
  • Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data & producing reports for quality meetings, management review or as requested by the Board
  • Leading implementation, administration & improvement activities associated with the LMS, covering internal & external training, inductions, training assignment creation

 
Skills & Experiences:

  • A minimum of a BSc degree, or equivalent experience in a science-related role.
  • Proven track record of achieving & maintaining ISO quality accreditation & rolling this out within a company (ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 27001)
  • Experience of using electronic QMS management tools including LMS
  • Experience of working in quality management roles in science-based R&D or manufacturing organisations 
  • A well-organised individual with the ability to deliver results
  • Ability to remain calm & self-controlled, & to maintain a high level of performance when facing change, pressure or uncertainty
  • Gains the trust of others by providing expert information & advice in a professional & credible manner & inspires others to do the same
