Job Outline
We are seeking a motivated and experienced procurement leader to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with a wealth of procurement knowledge and a passion for driving growth in a rapidly expanding business. Reporting to the Commercial Director and Head of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations globally. You will lead a small team, working closely with internal departments to ensure operational excellence and support the business’s strategic objectives.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a Supply Chain team of 2, overseeing the global operations, inbound logistics strategies, and performance metrics to meet business goals.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation, contract negotiation, and long-term partnership development.
  • Implement robust supplier quality controls in collaboration with internal QA and technical teams, ensuring the highest standards of product delivery.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve procurement and supply chain processes, driving cost efficiencies, quality improvements, and service excellence.
  • Negotiate and manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with company standards and optimizing supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Hub to ensure seamless communication and availability of products for order fulfillment, minimizing disruptions to sales and operations.
  • Work closely with Senior Management to influence and shape the overall supply chain strategy, aligning procurement activities with broader commercial objectives.
  • Travel to manufacturing sites globally to strengthen partnerships, manage supplier performance, and explore new opportunities.
  • Support R&D initiatives by sourcing materials and solutions for the development and market launch of new products.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will be:

  • Highly experienced in procurement and supply chain management, with proven expertise in driving performance and negotiating competitive terms.
  • A strategic thinker who can balance long-term supplier relationships with day-to-day operational efficiency.
  • Skilled in communicating complex supply chain needs across teams and departments, with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Experienced in managing supply chains to meet fulfillment demands, with a deep understanding of global procurement systems and practices.
  • An adaptable leader who can work independently, take initiative, and drive commercial success across the business.
  • Knowledgeable in managing both UK and international suppliers, with a track record of improving supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
