Principal Scientist Protoplast Regeneration

Salary: Circa 75,000 euros

Location: Évry (on-site)

 

Your mission
Lead and structure R&D projects on plant protoplast regeneration, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Provide scientific expertise to guide and inspire a small, agile team of scientists (currently 34) working on protoplast protocols.
Develop and apply quantitative approaches (imaging, molecular, cellular metrics) to characterize regeneration.
Define and track KPIs to evaluate protoplast proliferation and maturation.
Collaborate closely with the CTO to ensure R&D progress supports company goals.

What were looking for
PhD in Plant Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
Proven track record of successful protoplast or microspore regeneration across multiple plant species.
Strong interest in quantitative and data-driven approaches to understand and optimize regeneration mechanisms.
Leadership ability demonstrated experience managing a research team, or strong motivation to grow into a leadership role in close collaboration with the CTO.
Curiosity, creativity, and a drive to push scientific boundaries.
