A new relationship with a Cambridge-based design consultancy has resulted in the search for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

Our client works with companies of all shapes and sizes, from start-ups to major players, and across a variety of different industries. They are a relatively small business with plenty of history behind them, but they are actively seeking to expand the team and take the organisation to the next level.

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will play a key role in shaping the organisation, and ultimately contributing significantly to their story.

Key Responsibilities: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

·        To design, develop and implement innovative new products.

·        Prototyping design, fabrication, and build.

·        To produce and maintain technical documentation, such a CAD drawings, costing data and construction files.

·        Liaise with clients to capture their requirements and prepare proposals.

·        Mentoring junior team members, sharing your experience and best practice at all costs.

About You: Senior Mechanical Engineer

·        A strong degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design OR related discipline

·        4/5 years of experience in Mechanical Design roles

·        An enthusiasm for innovation and creativity, it’s likely that you’ll be an engineer outside of the standard 9-5.
