Senior Scientist (Product Integration)

We are proud to be supporting a Biotechnology start-up based in Oxford looking to change the landscape of personalised medicine with their flagship novel technology. This is an incredible opportunity to make a substantial positive impact on healthcare.

We are assisting this organisation with their search for an NGS product integration senior scientist to work cross-functionally with their chemistry, molecular biology and bioinformatics teams. You will be involved in the generation and analysis of DNA sequence and methylation data in order to progress the development of the company’s clinical workflows and applications kits. 



• Sample preparation of converted libraries for product development.

• Troubleshooting of entire workflow from sample preparation to analysis.

• Design & development of robust workflows.

• Automation of workflow.

• Support quality team ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Liaise with wider team to give updates on progress with product development. 

• Work with the companies Quality Management System. 


You must have the following experience: 

• Postgrad degree in related field.

• Minimum 6 years of experience working in product development in a scientific setting.

• Specialist knowledge of NGS. 

        o Including working knowledge of bioinformatics. 

• Current knowledge of molecular diagnostic tests – especially for oncology & rare diseases. 

• Track record of successful NGS projects and  RUO/IVD product development.

• Experience troubleshooting molecular biology, sequencing and data analysis issues.
