We are delighted to announce a new partnership with a dynamic Group based in Herfordshire who are skilled at commercialising a variety of their own scientific products and services, as well as supporting clients through the process too.

We’re assisting them with their search for a Software Technical Lead to deliver quality software for use within scientific products. This is an incredibly exiting role as you will be able to work with multi-disciplinary teams to contribute to new product concepts as well as improvements to existing lines.

If you have an extensive background in software development as well as a strong understanding of hardware integration, this is the job for you!


Role Responsibilities: Software Engineer/Lead

  • Co-ordinating software technical activities and project planning
  • Desktop application software development
  • Embedded code development for hardware
  • Lead design reviews and conducting risk assessments
  • Liaising with commercial & applications teams to write technical specifications
  • Presenting data and progress to the wider team


Required Skills: Software Engineer/Lead

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing software in an industrial setting
  • Proficient with C# and C++
  • Working experience in a test-driven development environment
  • Experience working the full software development lifecycle from concept to completion
  • Proven track-record of developing both desktop and embedded applications
  • Full competency working within an Agile framework
